The past couple of months has been some pretty good months for gamers. From the dropping of graphics card prices to the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 reveal and some other major game reveals and announcements, it has only been good news for us gamers. And some more key announcements were made during the PlayStation’s State of Play presentation on June 2, including a number of upcoming PS5 and PSVR 2 games. It even included an unexpected PC announcement for Spider-Man and a remake of one of the most beloved Resident Evil games. Exciting not only PlayStation fans but also the PC community.

Usually, this time of the year is when the massive video game expo, E3 would normally take place. But E3 hasn’t been held in person since 2019 and the Entertainment Software Association (ESA) canceled 2022’s event completely in hopes of revamping and bringing an even better event. All big studios and publishers who took this expo as a stage to announce their upcoming titles and plans opted to hold their very own online events instead. State of Play is what PlayStation came up with to exhibit their announcements and the event would be held multiple times a year.

This was the third State of Play event of the year and this one was special as it was part of the Summer Game Fest, meaning some spicy announcements were in line. And yes, Sony made some very exciting announcements for not only the PlayStation fans but the PC fans too. The 30-minute event packed some major announcements including Resident Evil 4 Remake, Horizon Forbidden West update, Spider-Man Remastered PC port, and more. If you missed the event, here’s a full recap of everything that was broadcasted.
